Are you an Italian student of the Politecnico di Milano? Do you want to learn how to speak English fluently? Siemens is here to support you!

Fluency in English plays a great role in every-day-business life for all big companies like Siemens.
Siemens Italy has thus decided to team up with Politecnico di Milano to help a group of Italian students gain awareness on how important it is to speak English when approaching the job market. This is why Siemens has decided to offer two free professional English language courses to a selected group of Polimi Italian students in 2012.

Two English language courses will be held between in Spring and Summer 2012, with different levels:

1. Pre-intermediate level for final year Bachelor Students
2. Intermediate level for 1st year Master of Science Students (Business Style)

Come to meet Siemens and the Career Service next March 21st at 3pm in the Career Lab Room in order to:

• learn more details about the course and how the selection process works;
• be assessed on your English language level with a written test.

Requirements:

To participate in this special event and pre-register for the language course you must fall within the following requirements:

• be an Italian citizen
• be enrolled for 2011/2012 in of one of the following courses (BCs and MSs): Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Energy Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering of Computing Systems, Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Please note that priority will be given to 3rd-year Bachelor students for the pre-intermediate course and to 1st-year Master students for the intermediate course.
• max. 23 years old for the pre-intermediate course
• max. 24 years old for the intermediate course
• be strongly motivated and willing to participate in a semi-intensive language course during April-July 2012

Selection steps:

After the event, only 16 students (8 students for each course) will be selected based on:

• participation to the launch event on 21st March
• positive results in the written test
• motivation (letter and final interview)
• adequate speaking language level
• age criteria
• assessment held by Siemens @ their headquarters on 28th March.

Final reward

At the end of the course the 16 participants will receive certification of attendance and will be invited to spend an entire day together with a Siemens Engineer in the most innovative branches of the company when attending 80% of the lessons.
