Desmet Ballestra SpA’s Italian division is a supplier of process engineering with proprietary technologies in various sectors of organic and inorganic chemistry, and more specifically in the field of surfactant and detergent production, an area in which it has been a world market leader for over fifty years.

Desmet Ballestra SpA, with two Italian offices (Milan and Pomezia), with a view to expanding its Technical Management department, is looking for:

CHEMICAL PROCESS ENGINEERS

The ideal candidates are Chemical Engineers (from final-year students to graduates with up to two-three years of experience), who will join the company as Chemical Process Engineers.

You will report directly to the Process Department Manager and will be in charge of basic engineering development (preparation of material and energy budgets, preparation of P&I), interface with detail engineering departments and be in direct contact with customers during project development.

You should have a good knowledge of application packages for unitary operations and thermal exchange calculations (Chem Cad, HTFS and/or equivalent).

We are looking for both Chemical Engineering graduates and for Chemical Process Engineers with a two-three year experience working with a chemical engineering company.

You are required to have a good knowledge of English and to be willing to travel abroad for kick-off and/or design meetings and plant start-ups.  

The ideal candidates will possess proven leadership qualities and personality, good planning and organisation skills, the ability to work in a team, a marked focus on results and problem solving.
